Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is set to drop goalkeeper Joe Hart from the club's starting lineup in favor of Costel Pantilimon for Saturday's clash with Norwich.
Pellegrini is likely to be without Vincent Kompany yet again due to a groin problem, with Martin Demichelis set to return to the XI after being rested for the cup trip to Newcastle in midweek. Further up the pitch, Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo played 120 minutes and 110 minutes respectively at St James’ Park, suggesting Sergio Aguero should get the nod, despite impending Champions League duties.
Robert Snodgrass continues to be assessed after being knocked unconscious and stretchered from the field in the midweek cup clash at United. Elsewhere in midfield, Alex Tettey is out for “several weeks” with an ankle problem, whilst Nathan Redmond was subbed off at Old Trafford with a muscle injury and is a doubt. Up top, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel has been ruled out with an ongoing foot problem - Gary Hooper looks set to lead the line again.
