Nigel Adkins is expected to name an unchanged XI as the Saints go in search of their third straight win. Luke Shaw continues to remain ahead of Danny Fox in the left-back pecking order, while Jason Puncheon has cemented the role on the right flank after a recent string of impressive performances.

Chris Hughton will need to check on the fitness of keeper John Ruddy after he suffered a thigh injury late on in the 1-1 draw with Everton. Ruddy was due scans on Monday to assess the damage and Mark Bunn will be on hand to replace him should he fail to make it. Hughton has ruled out Michael Turner for "a few weeks" with a shoulder problem, though Russell Martin is now available for the Southampton visit after a recent back problem.
