ADAM ECKERSLEY: I played with Beckham and Ronaldo - but Becks was better... and on one of the few occasions Fergie spoke to me, he warned me of dangers of gambling Adam Eckersley played one first-team game for Manchester United, before moving to Denmark to play for Horsens and AGF Aarhus.

Re: Top news stories
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed how he is still affected by the Munich air crash, 55 years on from the disaster.
It comes as rivals Liverpool posted a heart-warming poster on their Facebook page paying tribute to the victims.
Accompanied by a graphic design of the famous Munich clock and a Liverpool shirt, the poster carries the words: 'We all remember. We won't forget. May their soul rest in peace, by the grace of God. You'll never walk alone.'
On their Facebook page, Manchester City posted: 'Today we stand together and remember City goalkeeper Frank Swift and all the victims of the 1958 Munich air disaster, never forgotten.'
queste sono le cose che amo di questa grande nazione...

buonissime speranze per Jones in vista della gara di domani col Real
Manchester United are hoping to declare Phil Jones fit for their Champions League showdown with Real Madrid. And they could then use him in a man-marking role against Cristiano Ronaldo.
Jones, who came off against Everton at the weekend with a calf injury, is expected to be passed fit to play after training in Manchester before the journey to Spain.
Jones has performed in a man-marking role before. In recent games he has marked Marouane Fellaini of Everton and Tottenham's Gareth Bale but could he cope with Ronaldo's speed and power?

Re: Top news stories
Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United's weekend clash with QPR but is expected to be fit for the crunch Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that there was an outside chance Phil Jones would be fit for the European showdown at Old Trafford on March 5, but the club's in house TV channel added that Rooney was facing a battle of his own.
The striker has missed much of the week's training due to illness and won't travel to London for the meeting with the Premier League's bottom club.
