• Arsenal have conceded the lowest number of second-half goals in the top-flight this season (six) while Reading have shipped the joint-most (20).
• The Gunners have made the most passes in the Premier League this season (9221) while the Royals have made the fewest (4823).

Brian McDermott has confirmed that Sean Morrison is out with the ankle injury picked up at Southampton last weekend. With the Arsenal clash still days away, McDermott couldn't confirm whether a number of players would be available for Monday night - but is hopeful on the fitness of Jason Roberts, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Jimmy Kebe. The fitness of Hal Robson-Kanu will also be waited on. Jem Karacan has returned to training but is unlikely to feature, according to his manager.

Olivier Giroud has recovered from the back injury that forced him out of the midweek Capital One Cup defeat at Bradford. Arsene Wenger is uncertain over Theo Walcott's availability, with Gervinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain likely to battle it out for the role on the right flank. Laurent Koscielny should come into contention, though Abou Diaby and Andre Santos remain sidelined for the trip to Reading.
