Wigan return to home soil full of confidence after securing a fourth Premier League away win out of their last eight against new boys Southampton last weekend. The Latics have always been pleasing on the eye, with Roberto Martinez's Spanish roots ensuring that they play the game in the right manner. Stoke, though, are a notoriously difficult nut to crack and back-to-back draws in the Premier League suggest this season will be no different. The Potters frustrated Arsenal last time out, picking up a goalless draw, and will hope that a surprise Capital One Cup exit to League One Swindon proves to be little more than a bump in the road.

Wigan have won eight of their last 11 league matches.
Stoke haven't won away from home in the league since 2 January when they beat Blackburn 2-1 at Ewood Park.

Wigan will be without Antolin Alcaraz for the home clash with Stoke after the defender saw red for two bookings in the Capital One cup tie at Forest in midweek. Roberto Martinez will now likely draft in Jean Beausejour at left-wing back, allowing Maynor Figuerora to slip into his back three in the 3-5-2 formation.

Charlie Adam registered his move from Liverpool in time to make his debut against Wigan and Tony Pulis could well be set to hand him an immediate debut against the Latics. Elsewhere, Pulis will check on the fitness of Matt Etherington ahead of the trip to Wigan - he continues to struggle with a hamstring problem and could miss out again.

Peccato si poteva/doveva vincere visto che si è andati per 2 volte in vantaggio.

E ha segnato pure Di Santo in uno dei suoi solito 4 gol stagionali :asd:
E' FINITA SI DICE SOLO ALLA FINE
