• Wigan have failed to score in eight of their last nine Premier League games against the Red Devils, including the last five in a row.
• Manchester United have scored 21 goals in their last five games against Wigan - including three 5-0 wins.
Wigan have a two-day break before they face United at the DW Stadium, which may allow Roberto Martinez to resist the temptation to rest and rotate his resources. Mohamed Diame will be pressing for a start having scored Wigan’s goal at Stamford Bridge, while Victor Moses is fit despite suffering a slight knock on Saturday.
Rafael went off against QPR with a knock but should be fit to keep his place although Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are alternatives if Sir Alex wants to freshen things up. Nani is fit following an ankle injury, although he did not make the bench against the Hoops.
