Roberto Di Matteo takes charge of first his league game as the interim manager of Chelsea as they entertain Stoke on Saturday. The former Blues midfielder was in control of Chelsea's solid 2-0 win at Birmingham in the FA Cup on Tuesday - the first game since Andre Villas-Boas was sacked. The Portuguese was dismissed 24 hours after last Saturday’s 1-0 defeatat West Brom, a result which left the Blues having won just one of their previous six. After a five-game winless streak, Tony Pulis' Stoke side are back on track after beating Swansea and Norwich in recent weeks, while keeping a clean sheet in both games. But their trips to West London have often resulted in defeat, with their last win away to Chelsea coming in 1974.

• Chelsea's total of 19 goals conceded in their first 13 home league games is the most since the 1991-92 season (also 19).
• Stoke have scored just 11 goals in the 12 Premier League matches.
