Paul Lambert will be looking to mastermind a victory over fellow Glaswegian Sir Alex Ferguson when Norwich welcome Manchester United to Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon. With the business end of the Premier League season fast approaching, United can ill-afford any more slip-ups with local rivals Manchester City holding a two-point lead at the summit with 13 games to go. The impressive run of form has propelled the Canaries up to eighth place in the table, only four points behind Liverpool, who currently occupy the final Europa League qualification spot. Norwich boss Lambert insists survival, rather than Europe, remains the club's priority, however their Premier League status seems all-but assured having accrued 35 points with plenty of time to go. Both clubs will start Sunday's match smarting from previous defeats though, with United scraping through to the last-16 of the Europa League despite a 2-1 Old Trafford reverse to Ajax on Thursday night, progressing 3-2 on aggregate. Norwich also tasted cup misery last time out, producing arguably their poorest performance of the season during a 2-1 defeat to Championship side Leicester in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
• Norwich have scored more goals from crosses (20) than any other side in the division and are the only side to have scored more headed goals (14) than United (11) this season.
• Manchester United have posted the best shooting accuracy figures in the Premier League this season (53%) and best conversion rate (20%).
