Norwich suffered a setback against Sunderland in midweek and fell out of the top 10. The 3-0 defeat at the Stadium of Light represented a first loss in seven Barclays Premier League matches for Paul Lambert’s side. The Canaries have failed to net in their last two matches and two of their previous three at Carrow Road, where they haven’t won in their last three. Bolton head to East Anglia buoyed by recent results that have seen them climb out of the relegation zone. Manchester United are the only team to beat Wanderers in the last five Barclays Premier League games and they have taken four points from their last two outings against Liverpool and Arsenal. The goalless draw against the Gunners in midweek saw Owen Coyle’s men keep a clean sheet in the Barclays Premier League for the first time since the start of November.
• Norwich have kept just one clean sheet in their last 24 Premier League matches.
• Bolton have failed to score in three of their last five Premier League away games.
Paul Lambert may wish to make some alterations to his starting lineup after the heavy defeat against Sunderland. Anthony Pilkington and David Fox are options in midfield, whist Simeon Jackson is vying for a start up front. Elsewhere, there have been no new reported injury problems in Lambert’s squad, whilst new signing Johnny Howson missed out again as he continues to recover from a knee problem.
Icelandic right-back Gretar Steinsson is a slight doubt for Bolton after he suffered a minor injury against Arsenal in midweek. Bolton named the same team that beat Liverpool in the Gunners draw and could field that 11 again, if Steinsson is fit enough to start. New arrivals Marvin Sordell and Ryo Miyaichi will be in the squad, but Tim Ream won't feature because he's only just returned from the United
