Michael Laudrup must decide whether to play Ashley Williams, who has missed the last five weeks with an ankle injury. The likes of Wayne Routledge, Jonathan de Guzman and Leon Britton are set to return after being handed the night off from Europa League duties on Thursday.
Sam Allardyce has suggested that he faces no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to Swansea, although Guy Demel could be one slight worry having been forced off with a knock against City. He will vye with Joey O’Brien for the right-back role with Razvan Rat set to continue on the left. Elsewhere at the back, James Collins remains sidelined with a hamstring injury so James Tomkins will again partner Winston Reid.
