Two of this season’s surprise packages meet on Good Friday. Swansea City have the chance of moving up into the top ten of the Premier League table, while Newcastle United can edge closer to fourth spot.
Swansea will be hoping to bounce back from two successive defeats at Everton and Tottenham. The loss to Toffees ended the Swans’ impressive run of three consecutive Premier League victories, but manager Brendan Rodgers will expect a response from his team at the Liberty Stadium where they have lost two of their three last matches, following a run of one defeat in their previous 12.
Newcastle’s 2-0 victory over Liverpool on Sunday was their third consecutive win in the Premier League. Alan Pardew’s men are level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea and could still pip the West London club to a place in Europe's top club competition should Arsenal or Tottenham slip up in the final seven games. A win against Swansea would see them edge closer to their first continental competition in six years for a few hours at least with Chelsea not playing until Saturday.

• Swansea have lost their last two league games - they are yet to lose three in a row in the Premier League this season.
• Victory for Newcastle would see them register four consecutive wins in the Premier League for the first time since a five-match winning streak in April 2006.

Steven Caulker will likely return to the back four for the visit of Newcastle with Garry Monk set to drop to the bench, while Nathan Dyer will be pushing for inclusion having returned to action at Spurs.
Danny Guthrie has been ruled out of Newcastle's next two matches having sustained a calf injury in the 2-0 win over Liverpool. The midfielder has undergone treatment this week with Ryan Taylor or Dan Gosling set to come into Alan Pardew's lineup at the Liberty Stadium. Pardew will also check on the availability of James Perch - the former Nott'm Forest defender suffered a knock and will undergo a late fitness test.
