Abbiamo schierato un 11 titolare completamente diverso da quello che ha battuto l'IK Sirius martedì. Finalmente hanno fatto il loro esordio sei dei sette nuovi acquisti. Non ha giocato soltanto Matt Mills. Da notare un inizio brillante del Leicester City che erò finisce sotto nel punteggio immeritatamente quando Kasper Schmeichel para goffamente un tiro di Chori Castro e Tomer Hemed lo batte inesorabailmente e anche piuttosto facilmente per il vantaggio del Maiorca. Dopo il gol subito il Leicester ha ripreso subito a macinare gioco e a mettere in mostra un'ottimo possesso palla con alcune occasione molto buone per segnare la più clamorosa è quella di Nugent che spreca davanti al portiere del Maiorca. Nel secondo tempo il copione è sempre questo con un Leicester che tiene bene il campo e che aumenta la pressione offensiva non rischiando praticamente più nulla anche grazie ai numerosissimi cambi del Maiorca. Così arriva il gol meritatissimo del pareggio di Paul gallagher su rigore piuttosto netto che ha finalizzato un ottimo momento del Leicester che meritava ampiamente il pareggio. Dopo il gol del pari c'è ancora qualche azione del Maiorca controbattuta prontament e dal Leicester facendo andare al 90 ' stancamente la partita con i giocatori del Leicester in chiaro ed evidente debito di energie. Anche perché non ci sono stati cambi da parte nostra . Alla fine il punteggio contava poco, sono stati provati nuovo schemi e idee e altri 11 giocatori della squadra hanno svolto un buon allenamento. Una partita alla quale erano presenti i proprietari thailandesi non passa mai in secondo piano anche se obiettivamente l'avversario era ampiamente alla portata. Il Leicester ha presentato praticamente due squadre molto diverse tra primo e secondo tempo presentando ben 10 volti nuovi nel secondo tempo tra i quali spicca sicuramente la straordinaria prestazione di Steve Howard che ha trovato la rete due volte dal dischetto e due volte su azione rispettivamente con un perfetto tiro dalla distanza e un classico gol di rapina in area. Alla fine tutti i giocatori della rosa hanno messo un bel pò di minuti nella gambe e anche in questa partita hanno giocato tutti tranne David Nugent, Matt Mills, Sean St.Ledger e Kasper Schmeichel che non sono proprio scesi in campo. Dopo un primo tempo nel quale il Leicester ha creato moltissimo ma non ha concretizzato senza rischiare in difesa praticamente nulla al 47' arriva il gol segnato dal dischetto per atterramento netto di Richie Wellens. Sarà Steve Howard a occuparsi della realizzazione che porta in vantaggio il City. Il secondo gol arriva da un'ottima discesa sula sinistra di Paul Konchesky che trova con un preciso passaggio Richie Wellens che prontamente crossa basso trovando al limite dell'area libero e soletto il buon Steve Howard che con forza fa partire un gran tiro che si insacca nell'angolo basso della porta avversario con il portiere totalmente impotente. Il 3° gol arriva al 63' su rigore concesso per fallo su Alexandar Tunchev che viene bloccato in modo nettamente falloso in area di rigore. Ancora il buon Steve Howard dal dischetto e non sbaglia per il suo terzo gol della partita. All'85' arriva il gol del Vasalund con un forte tiro dalla sinistra del'area di Ferid Ali. Al 90' arriva il 4° gol del Leicester ancora con Steve Howard che trasforma in gol un cross basso sotto porta di Yuki Abe. Si chiude la partita sul 4-1 e anche il viaggio in Svezia. Ora si affronterà nella prossima amichevole il Bursaspor il 20/07

Il Leicester City rimane imbattuto in questo pre-campionato e anche in questa ennesima partita in giro per l'Europa e più precisamente in Austria propone una prestazione incoraggiante pareggiando 0-0 con il Bursaspor che disputerà l'Europa League e nella stagione appena terminata aveva anche disputato i gironi di Champions League. Per il resto partita molto equilibrata dove il Leicester ha avuto le sue belle occasione prontamente contro battute dal Bursaspor. Insomma un clima di sostanziale parità dove il Leicester City ha fatto la sua bella figura e questo fa crescere il morale di tutta la squdra. Vero sono partite amichevoli pero' pero'...
PS. Esordio stagionale di Matt Mills. Molto molto bene come prima uscita non c'è che dire

Partita molto difficile per il City che esce sconfitto contro un grande avversario ma decisamente a testa alta. Da notare l'ottima prova di tutta la linea difensiva che a contenuto bene le molte sfuriate offensiva del Valencia. In fondo non è che ci si potesse aspettare molto di più il Valencia resta abbondantemente di un'altra categoria

Leicester City hope to unveil Nigel Pearson as the successor to Sven-Goran Eriksson on Wednesday, with Hull City now resigned to losing their manager.

Leicester will pay Hull around £400,000 for the return of Pearson, who made the opposite move in June 2010 after a two-year spell in the Midlands. Leicester had earlier courted Lee Clark, although it has been stressed that the Huddersfield Town manager was never offered the position at the King Power Stadium.

Hull had initially rebuffed Leicester's approach for Pearson but, after talks on Monday and Tuesday, the move edged closer.

In his first spell at Leicester, Pearson guided the club to the League One title, with only a penalty shoot-out denying them a place in a Championship play-off final.

The manager's unhappy relationship with the then Leicester chief executive, Lee Hoos, was cited in his accepting a move to the KC Stadium in the summer of 2010. Hoos and Milan Mandaric, who owned Leicester, have since left the club.

Despite having one of the best squads in the Championship, and reportedly one of the largest budgets, Leicester currently lie in 12th position.

Hull, meanwhile, are likely to consider Clark as they look to maintain a strong start to their own campaign. Pearson will leave a team sitting ninth in the Championship, only a point adrift of the play-off places.

vedo che del Leicester non scrive nessuno sebbene ieri abbiano festeggiato la promozione con 6 giornate di anticipo.
Sono andato a vedere la campagna acquisti per capire quali siano stati i colpi che hanno trasformato una squadra che l'anno scorso raggiunse i play off con fatica perdendo poi in semifinale col Watford. Non mi pare che fossero così favoriti almeno vedendo la campagna acquisti.
