Wigan have a chance to climb out of the Premier League's relegation places as they meet Swansea on Saturday. It is a meeting of the division's second-worst home side and the division's second-worst away side at the DW Stadium. A goalless draw against Aston Villa saw bottom-of-the-table Wigan edge closer to the teams above them. The stalemate was the Latics’ second successive home draw and their fourth in the last six games in front of their own fans. But it did extend their unbeaten run to three matches. Swansea have lost their last two Premier League games as they followed up a 3-2 home defeat to Norwich by losing 2-0 at Stoke last Saturday. Brendan Rogers' side have a healthy nine-point gap over the relegation zone, but have won just once in their last five outings. Games against Manchester City and Tottenham within the next month makes Saturday's trip to Lancashire appear all the more important.

The Latics are at their most dangerous just before half-time, scoring a league high percentage of 39% of their goals in the 15 minutes leading up to half time and only Man City and Tottenham (10 each) have netted more than the nine Wigan have scored in this period.
Since netting his first Premier League goal of the season at the start of October, only three players have scored more goals than Danny Graham in the Premier League (10).
