St. James' Park
Newcastle made their much anticipated return to European football on Thursday when taking on Maritimo in the Europa League and they come back to domestic duties against Norwich. It has been a busy week for Alan Pardew's squad, having also played on Monday in the thrilling 2-2 draw at Everton, and it remains to be seen if they have the necessary strength in depth. They can rely on strong home league form after losing just once in their last 12 but they have won only one of their previous six overall top-flight games. Norwich will be looking to take advantage as they target a first away win of the season at St James' Park as Chris Hughton returns to his former club. The Canaries have drawn their last three games after losing their opening game of the season at Fulham.
• Only two players Demba Ba (3) and Hatem Ben Arfa (2) have scored for Newcastle in the Premier League this season.
• Norwich have scored two goals in the Premier League this season - the joint lowest with QPR, going into this weekend's games.
Newcastle United have some good news on the injury front as duo Papiss Cisse and Cheik Tiote could both be available. Fabricio Coloccini has returned to training following a hamstring injury but will not make this one. That will likely see Mike Williamson continue alongside Steven Taylor with James Perch again at right-back. Yohan Cabaye, Jonas Gutierrez, Demba Ba and Hatem Ben Arfa, who was serving a European ban, will return to the starting lineup after missing Thursday's tie.

There are no new reporting injuries thus far from the Canaries camp, with Elliot Bennett still rated doubtful after a recent knee injury. Anthony Pilkington missed out with a groin problem against West Ham and could well return to the starting eleven in place of Andrew Surman. That could be the only change made by Hughton, although the likes of Steve Morison and Harry Kane will pushing for inclusion up front.
