City of Manchester Stadium
Manchester City will hope to steal a march on Premier League title rivals Manchester United when they face Bolton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. City enjoy a second straight match at home against struggling opposition, with last week's 3-0 win over Blackburn being followed by the visit of the Trotters. And with United saddled with a tough trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday, City boss Roberto Mancini will be hoping to see his side's current two-point lead at the top of the table extended to four or even five by the end of the weekend. Bolton have lost their last three Premier League encounters and lie second from bottom in the table. Owen Coyle’s side have a better away record in the league than they do at home, but their last away success came at Everton at the beginning of January.
• Man City have won their last 18 league matches at Etihad Stadium. A calendar year has now passed (27 February, 1-1 v Fulham) since Roberto Mancini's side last dropped home points. Victory against Bolton would see them break Newcastle's Premier League record for consecutive home wins at the start of a season (13).
• The 18 games lost by Bolton is the most in the Premier League - three more than any other club. All six clubs to have lost as many as 18 games from their opening 26 Premier League matches have gone on to be relegated.
