Robbie Brady is ruled out for the Tigers after undergoing hernia surgery earlier in the week. Steve Bruce could draft in Stephen Quinn or George Boyd to replace the in-form midfielder, though Sone Aluko’s versatility could see him moved to the flank instead. Bruce’s decision to field Liam Rosenior at right-back last week allowed Ahmed Elmohamady to move to the right of midfield whilst elsewhere in defence, Abdoulaye Faye is likely to deputise for the injured James Chester again.
Gabby Agbonlahor and Ashley Westwood have returned to training and may be set to return after both missed last week’s win over Man City, while Andreas Weimann is hoping to recover from the knock that forced him off against Manuel Pellegrini’s men. Paul Lambert rolled out a 3-5-2 formation last weekend, with Antonio Luna and Leandro Bacuna handed the wing-back roles, though this could be altered to if Agbonlahor and Westwood return. Christian Benteke and Jores Okore both remain on the injury list.
