Allan McGregor and George Boyd are hoping to recover from the injuries that forced them to withdraw from the Scotland squad over the last week. Sone Aluko is progressing from the hamstring problem sustained against Man City and is expected to retain his starting berth up front, with fellow forward Yannick Sagbo serving the last of a three-match suspension.
Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall could yet be fit for the Bluebirds' Premier League trip to Hull tomorrow. Marshall has been a major doubt for the crunch clash after injuring his hip on Scotland duty earlier this week. The keeper is being assessed by medics today, but boss Malky Mackay this morning admitted the hip injury is not too bad but a fitness test will determined whether he will fly with the squad to the KC Stadium. If Marshall does miss out, deputy Joe Lewis will step in for his first ever Premier League appearance.
Transfer deadline day signing Peter Odemwingie is set to make his Bluebirds debut from the bench, with Mackay set to stick with the same team that drew with Everton providing Marshall proves his fitness.
