• Fulham substitutes have contributed seven goals this season, only Man City's have been as productive.
• Demba Ba is the first Newcastle player to score 10+ goals in consecutive Premier League seasons since Alan Shearer did so in 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2003-04.

Martin Jol welcomes back Brede Hangeland after a three-match suspension but will be without Bryan Ruiz for another month after the Costa Rican suffered a hamstring injury setback in training. Dimitar Berbatov seems set to remain as the deep-lying forward in a front two, with Mladen Petric and Hugo Rodallega battling it out for a place alongside the Bulgarian. Alex Kacaniklic is available after a hamstring injury, while Sascha Riether is expected to shake off a knee problem to continue at right-back.

Alan Pardew is confident on the availability of Demba Ba, Cheick Tiote, Jonas Gutierrez and Davide Santon after the quartet limped off in Monday’s win over Wigan. The Newcastle boss is also optimistic that Hatem Ben Arfa could return after a recent hamstring injury, while Gabriel Obertan is also edging towards a comeback. Providing his players’ fitness hold up, then, the Magpies boss has a decision to make. He rolled out a 4-3-3 against the Latics to great success and could continue with the same system, though Ba is expected to keep the central role, with Papiss Cisse perhaps shifting from the right to left if Ben Arfa is passed fit.
