• Everton have conceded the most goals in the opening 15 mins (6), Tottenham the fewest (0).

Kevin Mirallas and Seamus Coleman both "have a chance" of featuring for the visit of Spurs, according to David Moyes; if the pair fail to recover, Tony Hibbert and Steven Naismith are set to keep their places at right-back and on the right wing respectively. Phil Neville remains sidelined, while Victor Anichebe is a major doubt.

Gareth Bale has been ruled out with a hamstring injury sustained in last week’s win at Fulham. Andre Villas-Boas could shift Clint Dempsey to the left flank and bring in Gylfi Sigurdsson in the role behind Jermain Defoe, though he also has Emmanuel Adebayor available after the forward served a three-match ban. Michael Dawson has only a slim chance of recovering from his hamstring injury in time to face Everton on Sunday, with William Gallas set to step in alongside Steven Caulker should he fail to make it. Scott Parker and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have both returned to training but this one will come too soon for them.
