This fixture will remind Sunderland fans of what might have been in terms of their FA cup dreams, as these two clubs meet for the fourth time this season, with Sunderland yet to beat David Moyes's team. The Black Cats arrive at Goodison having nearly won at Manchester City and held Spurs at home, and they will be keen to continue the Martin O'Neill factor for the remaining games. A tally of 31 points from a possible 54 has been secured since his arrival. Sunderland haven't finished higher than tenth since Peter Reid's team recorded a seventh- place finish back in 2001, the season they last beat Everton in the Premier League.

It is Everton's last game before their much-anticipated semi-final meeting with Liverpool, but their two results since knocking Sunderland out in the replay have proved it hasn't been a distraction, with victory over West Brom and Saturday's draw at Norwich. In fact Everton have only lost twice in their last 16 games in all competitions and they will be determined to maintain that momentum to take to Wembley at the weekend.

Everton have scored eight goals in the opening 20 minutes of their last 10 Premier League games against Sunderland.
Sunderland have kept only one clean sheet in their last 11 Premier League away games.

Everton are likely to freshen things up for the visit of Sunderland and with next weekend's FA Cup semi-final in mind. David Moyes will be pondering starts for Seamus Coleman, Johnny Heitinga and Victor Anichebe here - all three were on the bench at Carrow Road.

Sunderland have doubts over three players who appeared in the goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Nicklas Bendtner has a back injury and Lee Cattermole and Phil Bardsley also suffered knocks. Those concerns are countered by the availability of Kieran Richardson and Wayne Bridge, while David Vaughan and David Meyler are also pushing for starts in midfield.

Possible starting XIs:
T Howard • P Neville, J Heitinga, S Distin, L Baines • S Coleman, D Gibson, L Osman, S Pienaar • V Anichebe • N Jelavic
S Mignolet • P Bardsley, M Turner, M Kilgallon, W Bridge • S Larsson, C Gardner, D Vaughan, J McClean • K Richardson • S Sessègnon

Zitto zitto anche quest'anno Moyes sta facendo il suo onesto campionato spendendo quattro spiccioli :sisi:

Lo stato di forma dei Toffees è preoccupante, spero che sabato i Reds ce la facciano :look:

"You know when you wake up, look out of your window and it’s a gloomy, miserable, soaking wet wintery morning? In the road, there are puddles, and dim car lights in miserable queues of traffic lighting up the rain. And there’s a wet, soggy, flaccid dark brown cardboard box. That wet, soggy, flaccid dark brown cardboard box is Michael Owen’s personality"
