Everton mustered their first point in three games thanks to Victor Anichebe’s equaliser at Aston Villa. It’s been their home form which has cost David Moyes’ men in recent weeks, winning just once in their last four on Merseyside. They have failed to score more than one goal in any of their previous nine outings and have kept just one clean sheet from their ten home games. Blackburn clawed their way out of the bottom three for only the second time this season with a 3-1 win over Fulham, despite playing the majority of the game with only ten men. Victory was Rovers’ second in three games though they have only won once on their travels. Manager Steve Kean will be without leading scorer and ex-Toffee Yakubu who is suspended after his early dismissal against the Cottagers.
