Chelsea will be looking to strengthen their position at the top of the table before the Premier League takes a break for a fortnight to allow international football to take centre stage. Roberto Di Matteo's Blues negotiated their sternest test to date as they won at Arsenal last weekend and start as firm favourites against Norwich City. The Canaries are third from bottom in the table with just three points from six fixtures, having collected just one point from a possible nine on the road. Hughton will be looking for a positive reaction to a lacklustre display against Liverpool, which culminated in a 5-2 loss.
• Chelsea are the only team in the Premier League yet to concede a goal in the second half.
• Three points from six games is Norwich City's worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.
Roberto Di Matteo will go into the home clash with Norwich with Daniel Sturridge as his only injury concern. John Terry is likely to line-up in the centre of Chelsea's defence after the FA announced that the club has until 18th October to launch an appeal against his recent four-match ban. Eden Hazard could come back into the line-up after starting Tuesday's victory against Nordsjaelland on the bench, while Oscar and Frank Lampard are competing for a spot in the midfield.

Chris Hughton revealed both Sébastien Bassong and Anthony Pilkington are both “very close” to making the trip to Chelsea, with Michael Turner and Andrew Surman set to deputise again if the duo fail to recover in time for Stamford Bridge. Up front, Grant Holt should be given a start following two matches coming on from the bench, with Chris Hughton possibly looking to utilise an attacking five man midfield.
