The race for a top four Premier League finish promises to heat up in Saturday's London derby when Chelsea host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. The capital rivals will go head-to-head on Saturday lunch-time in a clash which could prove decisive in the battle for UEFA Champions League qualification. Chelsea’s recent resurgence under interim manager Roberto Di Matteo ended with defeat to Manchester City in midweek. Di Matteo's men had taken a 1-0 lead through Gary Cahill at the Etihad Stadium only to concede twice late on and leave empty-handed after a 2-1 defeat. The Blues will hope to get things back on track against a Tottenham side who are suffering an ill-timed slump in form, having taken just a point from their last four league encounters. Just a few weeks ago Harry Redknapp's side were sitting comfortably in third place and surrounded by talk of a surprise title push as they kept the heat on Manchester United and City. However, recent results have seen Spurs slide down the table and they suffered a blow in midweek when, after drawing at home to Stoke, they were leapfrogged by fierce local rivals Arsenal, who have hit a winning streak.
• Chelsea have won 16 and lost none of their last 24 matches against Spurs at Stamford Bridge in all competitions.
• Tottenham are without a win in their last five away games in the Premier League.
