Kick-off: 17.00 (live @ Sky Sport 3 / Supercalcio)
Chelsea return to their Stamford Bridge home for the first time since the dramatic 5-3 defeat to Arsenal last month. Andre Villas–Boas’ side beat struggling Blackburn last time out to bounce back from back-to-back defeats, but the Portuguese manager will be looking for a vastly improved performance against Liverpool. The Blues were defeated when the two sides met in the corresponding fixture last season, with Raul Meireles scoring the only goal for the visitors. Meireles now plies his trade with Chelsea alongside Fernando Torres, who bagged a brace for the Reds in a 2-0 Anfield win over their opponents in November last year.
Liverpool’s recent record against the Blues is an impressive one, with four league wins to the west Londoners’ two in the past six meetings. Kenny Dalglish’s side have won their last two games on the road, in contrast to a run of three straight home draws in the Barclays Premier League.
