The show must go on - but there won't be a soul inside the Reebok Stadium who isn't thinking about Fabrice Muamba and what will hopefully be his continued, incredible recovery.
Bolton have slipped back into the relegation zone and have failed to score in four of their last six Premier League fixtures. Victory over Queens Park Rangers in their last league outing did end a run of four straight defeats, but they are now two points adrift of the capital outfit with a game in hand. The Trotters will be hoping to clamber back out of the drop zone on Saturday, but will be aware that they have won just two of their last 10 meetings with Rovers. Blackburn moved six points clear of the relegation zone with their first back-to-back Premier League wins of the season, following up last weekend’s 2-0 win at Wolves with victory by the same scoreline at home against Sunderland in midweek. Steve Kean’s side are unbeaten in their last three and have won three of their last five to give their fans realistic hopes of beating the drop.

• Bolton have only gained three points from the 20 matches in which they conceded the first goal (W1, L19). It is the worst points-per-game ratio in the top flight.
• Blackburn took just 10 points from their first 17 Premier League matches, but since Christmas they have taken 18 points from 12 games.
